Daeyang is a South Korean company that has been producing marine lighting since 1977. This light has the word-mark “Daeyang” on the cage of the light and can be seen in photo 2.
From the top of the mount plate to the bottom of the cage, this vintage salvaged brass ship light measures about 9 1/2 inches long. It will extend out from the wall by about 6 1/2 inches. The mount plate measures 3 5/8 inches in diameter with four large mount holes. This light weighs nearly 5 1/2 pounds.
We have re-wired this light, including a ground wire, with all new UL Listed parts that holds a normal 75 watt house bulb and up to 250 volts. The cage and globe unscrew from the main housing to access the bulb holder.
Talk to us about our new brass adapter plate that will end all of your installation problems with any existing in the wall junction box. Our 6 inch brass adapter plate is $20.00. If you order one at the same time you order this light, we will attach the plate at no extra charge.
You will be shipped the vintage salvaged brass ship light shown in the photos.
Big Ship Salvage scours the world for nautical antique lights, décor and other items related to the Nautical Life. Brass, copper, stainless steel and sometimes aluminum materials are used to make-up the vintage lights that we find. We soda-blast the old paint off, remove the old wiring and polish before they arrive in our warehouse. Then, we rewire with UL listed bulb sockets and wiring harnesses and get ready for purchase. They are now ready to warm your home, business or restaurant with that nautical feeling we all desire.
