Indoor or Outdoor Brass Wall Sconce – Dock light

This indoor or outdoor brass wall sconce came from a working ship. We restored it using new wiring and UL-listed parts, so it’s ready for everyday use. The body is solid brass and shows a natural patina from years at sea. As a result, salt air and weather give each one a distinct look.

The thick glass globe is strong and built to last. In some cases, you may notice light pitting or spotting. These small marks come from exposure to harsh marine conditions. Even so, they add to the light’s authentic character.

Since it’s rated for both indoor and outdoor use, you can install this sconce in many places. It works well in hallways, entryways, porches, patios, or near the pool. It also makes a great dock light or pier light. Overall, it brings real nautical style with practical durability.

Wiring

We rewired this light using all-new UL-listed components, including a medium base socket and ground wire rated for any voltage under 250 volts. The wiring exits from the back of the mounting plate, and you can use a standard base LED bulb or an LED Edison bulb, depending on how much light you want.

To change the bulb, simply unscrew the brass cage and remove the glass globe.
