Nautical Brass Pendant Light with Caged Glass and Down Rod Mount

This nautical brass pendant light uses a long, straight down rod and a compact caged glass housing. It follows a traditional ship light design, with a fixed mount and a brass guard that protects the bulb.

The brass shows clear age and use. Most notably, heavier patina appears on the ceiling mounting plate. The base measures 5 5/8″ in diameter and anchors the fixture securely. In total, the light hangs approximately 24″ from the ceiling. Because of this length, it works well in spaces that need lower, direct lighting without taking up too much room.

The clear glass globe remains in good condition and allows strong light output. At the same time, the surrounding brass cage adds protection and gives the fixture its industrial marine look.

This light fits best in practical areas. For example, you can place it over a kitchen sink, above a work surface, or in a hallway with lower ceilings. It also works well in bathrooms, entryways, or smaller rooms where a single overhead fixture makes sense.

It comes with a 10″ rain cap which will create a wider top profile, which helps the fixture stand out more in open spaces.

As expected with salvaged lighting, the surface shows wear from prior use. However, that wear remains part of the fixture and has not been polished out.

Wiring:

This light has been fully rewired using all new UL-listed parts, including a medium base socket and ground wire. It supports up to 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED or Edison bulb to customize the brightness to your space.
