You are looking at a Vintage Steamship Lehigh Model Ship. The Steamship Lehigh was built in 1943 by the Great Lakes Engineering Works, River Rouge, MI.
The Lehigh was one of 16 Maritime class freighters ordered by the U.S. Maritime Commission during World War II. She was traded to Bethlehem Steel’s Great Lakes Steamship Division in Cleveland, Ohio in 1944. It was 603.66 long, 60.16 width, and 30.16 deep. It was classified as a bulk carrier.
A must have piece for anyone who loves anything to do with the Great Lakes and the love of ships!
