You are looking at the Swedish American Line Ship Photo-LAHOLM. Swedish American Line was a Swedish passenger shipping line. It was founded in December 1914 under the name REDERAKTIEBOLAGET Sverige -NORDAMERIKE and began ocean liner service from Gothenburg to New York in 1915. In 1925 the company changed its name to Swedish American Line. The company abandon passenger traffic in 1975, but cargo operations continued until the 1980s. LAHOLM is located in Sweden.
On the back of this photo you will see that someone wrote what was going on in this picture. It says that the Swedish American Line was unloading paper pulp at South Haven Terminal Co., Black River -South Haven, Michigan in June, 1953.
