You are looking at the South American Cruise Ship Photo-1950. The S.S. South American was a Great Lakes Steamship. It was known as the Queen of the Inland Seas. Built-in 1913 for the Chicago, Duluth & Georgian Bay Transit Company, the 96-meter longship had five decks and weighed 2,662-tons. It was first launched on February 21, 1914.
In this photo it looks as though the ship is coming into a port unknown. On the front of the ship you will see the words: SOUTH AMERICAN and Chicago, Duluth & Georgian Bay Transit Company. You can also see people standing around on the decks as well in this photo.
Another great photo for anyone who is interested in the Great Lakes!
