Vintage NOAA Nautical Chart

This Lake Superior Nautical Chart was salvaged off the STR. Kinsman Enterprise. This chart features Little Girls Point To Silver Bay – Lake Superior-Minnesota-Wisconsin- Michigan including: Duluth and apostle islands; Cornucopia Harbor; Port Wing harbor; Knife River Harbor; Two Harbors.

It was published in Washington D.C. by the U.S Department Of Commerce for the National Oceanic And Atmosphere Administration National Ocean Survey. The NOAA – National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration – Was created in 1807 by Thomas Jefferson to help provide charts for safe shipping, national defense, and maritime boundaries. The STR. Kinsman Enterprise had been owned and operated by the Steinbrenner family of New York Yankee baseball fame for almost a century.

This is nautical chart 14966 Lake Erie. This chart dates from the early 1980’s. This chart is a one sided print. This was salvaged off the Str. Kinsman Enterprise when it was decommissioned, you can actually see pencil chart lines from use.

This chart measures 3 feet  wide by 4 feet long.
