Here is a vintage model ship in a bottle. The glass bottle measures 9 inches long and is 4 1/2 X 4 1/4 inches at the base. The model maritime ship vessel has three masts and is about 7 inches long and 3 1/2 inches tall. The hand painted back drop shows a village with four large buildings and trees. While not dated, I would say this item dates to the 1940’s. Glass bottle is undamaged.
I would not call this a complicated project, but someone put some time, effort, and skill into this finished piece. I am sure this is not a model kit, but more of a project where someone hand crafted the parts from scratch. A vintage model ship in a bottle can range in price and size. Most collectors find a ship model in a bottle that costs less than a hundred dollars, but I have seen more advanced projects run into the thousands of dollars.
This model ship in a bottle is a very unusual, simple looking piece. It’s the perfect finishing touch for your nautical décor.

This is a very nice Pacific Coast Steamship Company Tickets sign. It is porcelain on steel and is screwed to an iron base. It measures 7 inches wide and stands about 9 1/2 inches tall. The sign is single-sided. It has a bit of surface wear and chipping along the edges here and there, but it’s still a great display piece.
The Pacific Coast Steamship Company was an important early shipping company that operated steamships on the west coast of North America. Organized in 1867 under the name of Goodall, Nelson and Perkins. The Goodall, Nelson & Perkins Steamship Company was formed in 1875, but a year later reorganized as the Pacific Coast Steamship Company. In 1916 the Admiral Line bought the shipping interests of the company.
