Here is a great find from the salvage yard! An original vintage aluminum and brass rotary phone. Items like this are very difficult to find! It measures 11 1/4 inches long not including the cord, about 10 1/2 inches wide, and should extend from the wall by 4 1/2 inches. Weighs just under 10 pounds. Working condition is unknown.
This vintage ship’s phone has some visible wear and aging from years at sea. Great nautical decor item!

Often times we see watertight doors and hatches at the shipyards and we walk past them because the of the overall size and weight. I always thought the coolest part of these original watertight doors and hatches was the cast iron wheel, so I started pulling them when we spotted ones that could be removed without too much effort.
This salvaged ship’s watertight hatch wheel measures about 12 1/2 inches wide and weighs about 12 pounds. This item is being sold in as found condition. You can expect loose paint, dirt, and some grease here and there. This is a great display piece that can be displayed unrestored, restored, or even painted!
You will be shipped the salvaged ship’s watertight hatch wheel shown in the attached photos!

This is an antiques maritime wind gauge anemometer with a nautical propeller that was salvaged from a vessel destined to be cut up for scrap at one of the shipbreaking yards. The propeller for sale is aluminum, the tail cone is fiber, and most of the rest of the unit is brass. The aluminum propeller has four blades and measures 13 1/2 inches tip to tip. From the ground to the top of the tail this wind gauge anemometer measures 30 inches tall. From the front tip to the back of the tail it measures 27 inches. The base mount is 6 inches wide with 5 mount holes. The propeller turns freely. The unit spins 360 degrees on the mount pipe. This wind gauge anemometer weighs about 35 pounds.
By definition, a windmill anemometer is similar to its namesake, the windmill, in that it must be parallel to the direction of the wind in order to work properly. A wind vane, attached to the tail of the anemometer, is pushed around until the propeller is facing into the wind. The wind then turns the propeller, which rotates a mechanism that calculates the wind speed.
We have not determined if this wind gauge anemometer works or not, but regardless, it will make a unique display item in your home or outside in your yard or garden area.
