This original salvaged life ring came off the CE-DUKE, a bulk carrier built in 2001. The ship sailed under the Maltese flag, with Valletta as its home port. It saw real use at sea and now stands as a durable nautical artifact with character and history.
The ring features a cloth covering with worn red paint, stitched detailing, and original lettering on both sides that reads “CE-DUKE” and “VALLETTA” in white. Over time, the paint has faded, and dark marks have developed, showing the ring’s time at sea. In addition, it appears to retain its original rope, giving it even more authenticity.
Because it’s not a reproduction, this life ring makes a great statement piece for coastal-themed rooms, shops, or maritime displays. It’s the kind of item that tells its own story.
