Description

This salvaged life ring comes from the K LINE 1, a RORO cargo ship built in 1997 that sailed under the flag of Comoros. The vessel retired after more than two decades of service and went to a shipbreaking yard in 2021. Pieces like this ring are rare finds that connect directly to working maritime history.

The life ring is cloth-covered and painted orange. “K LINE 1” and “Moroni” are clearly marked on both the front and back. It shows years of use at sea with chipped paint, weathering, and surface splatters. The rope and reflective tape remain intact, showing the durability of this safety equipment.

🚢 Important: This life ring is for decorative use only and not intended for safety purposes.

Features:

  • Salvaged life ring from the K LINE 1 (1997–2021)
  • Cloth-covered and painted orange with white lettering
  • Marked “K LINE 1” and “Moroni” on both sides

Collectors and decorators value items like this for their character. You can hang it in a boathouse or display it poolside. In addition, it works well as a feature in a coastal restaurant. Each scuff and mark tells its story and therefore adds authenticity, making it more meaningful than a reproduction.
