On this life preserver you will see that it is an Adult personal floatation device. It also has the name APCO which stands for Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials. It was designed to turn an unconscious wearer face up in the water. This life preserver was approved for use on All Vessels by persons weighing more than 90 lbs. There is also a life preserver light sewn on it. It is automatically turned on when you are in the water and turns off manually. It helps you to see things in the water and your surroundings.
