Wilkens & Co Bremerhaven Ship Telegraph – Brass & Aluminum with Cracked Faceplate

Description
This Wilkens & Co Bremerhaven Ship Telegraph is an original maritime artifact made of brass and aluminum. Salvaged from a working vessel, it carries the engraved maker’s mark “Wilkens & Co Bremerhaven.”
Telegraphs like this allowed bridge officers to send commands directly to the engine room. It displays orders from Dead Slow to Full Ahead and Full Astern. The twin levers still move smoothly, and the internal bell dings when the handles shift positions.
One side of the faceplate glass shows a visible crack from use at sea. This does not affect the lever movement or the bell function.
The brass housing shows patina from years at sea, while the aluminum pedestal provides strength and stability. Mounted on a flanged base, this Wilkens & Co Bremerhaven Ship Telegraph stands securely for floor display in homes, offices, or restaurants.
