Description

This vintage compass binnacle was made by Kokaikeiki Seisakusho in Osaka, Japan. It’s a compact navigational tool designed for smaller boats and yachts that don’t have space for a full-size binnacle.

The design includes large red and green iron spheres on either side. These help reduce deviation errors caused by surrounding metal. The compass itself gimbals freely, allowing for accurate readings even as the vessel moves.

The body is made of brass and remains in good condition. You’ll see a natural patina, some scratches, and a yellowed tone from exposure — all part of its working history. Despite the weathering, the compass is still fully functional.

Features:

  • Made by Kokaikeiki Seisakusho in 1968 – Osaka, Japan
  • Brass construction with aged patina and light surface wear
  • Freely gimbaling magnetic compass
  • Iron deviation spheres – red and green
  • Compact size – suited for yachts and small vessels

This piece is great for nautical collectors or as a display item in an office or study. It brings authentic maritime character to any setting.
