Description
This vintage electric engine telegraph was manufactured by Nunotani Keiki Seisakusho Ltd. in Akasaka, Japan. It was originally used to send engine orders from the bridge to the engine room on a working ship. Today, it functions as a decorative display piece with strong nautical character.
The faceplate includes traditional telegraph commands like “Full Ahead,” “Stop,” and “Finished with Engine.” The handle moves freely, and the glass and dial are in good condition. The polished aluminum housing shows minor wear but no structural issues. While no longer wired for electrical use, it’s a solid display item.
Mount it on a wall in a collector’s space, nautical-themed room, or industrial setting. It’s a unique piece of maritime equipment that adds history and visual interest.
