Vintage Brass Chadburns Engine Order Telegraph 46″ Tall
$2,900.00

Description
This chadburn ship telegraph is a salvaged piece of authentic maritime equipment, made of brass with glass faceplates on both sides. It was built for communication between a ship’s bridge and engine room, with clear engine order markings like “Full Ahead” and “Stop.” The faceplate includes the manufacturer’s mark: “Chadburns, Liverpool & London.”
The unit still makes the original clinging bell sound when the handles are moved. Though no longer connected to an engine system, the mechanism is intact. The brass shows light patina from use at sea, and the glass is in excellent condition — no cracks or clouding. Both sides display matching dials with sharp, readable lettering.
This chadburn ship telegraph makes a strong statement for collectors, decorators, or anyone building a nautical display. Its size and presence make it a functional and visual anchor piece in any space.
Features:
- Brass construction with glass faceplates in excellent condition
- Double-sided telegraph with matching dial faces and visible markings
- Still produces bell sound when you move the handles
- Light patina, consistent with shipboard use
