New York Yacht Club Arthur Meeker Dinner Plate

This dinner plate measures 9 3/4 inches in diameter. Dated 1920. This beautiful plate features two flags, or burgees – the blue one is the New York Yacht Club; the white one is the yacht Victoria. The plate has burgundy/gold rim bands on the outside rim. There is also a faint gold band on the inside bottom rim. Made by the “O.P.Co Syracuse China”. The “O.P.” stands for Onondaga Pottery, founded in 1871. There are some light utensil marks from use. Quite a historical piece!!
Arthur Meeker was the vice president of the Armour & Company meatpacking company in Chicago.
