We started out with a common ceiling mounted cast brass nautical light and made it into this classy looking vintage reclaimed nautical pendant light with copper deflector cover ready to hang with 2 1/2 feet of brass chain. We added the 8 inch copper deflector cover to greatly change the look. The light measures about 13 inches long, from the tip of the handle to the bottom of the cage. It weighs about 7 pounds. Originally this light had a steel conduit pipe attached to the side to supply the electrical power. We removed the conduit and plugged the hole with a threaded brass cap.
We then added the brass handle at the top of the nautical pendant light with copper deflector cover to polish it all off. All the old wiring and bulb holder was removed and new UL-Listed parts were re-installed that are rated to work with any voltage under 250 volts. The new bulb holder takes an Edison base bulb of 50 watts or less. To access the bulb, you just spin off the brass cage and the undamaged glass globe.
This brass hanging light with copper deflector cap will be shipped with 2 1/2 feet of chain and wire, but you will need to supply the means to attach to your ceiling.
We have 7 pieces like this in stock, however these pieces are not identical and there may be some variation between pieces.

This is a rather unusual Pauluhn ceiling light. Made of cast brass. This light measures about 8 1/2 inches tall x 6 inches wide. Beautiful teal blue ribbed globe. The top ring of the fixture is marked “Pauluhn Electric Mfg. Co. Pearland, TX”. The single conduit hole in front was fitted with a copper cap. Weighs a hefty 8 1/2 pounds!!
The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less. We drilled a small hole in the base of the light for the wiring to exit and not be seen after installation. The new wiring will work with any voltage under 250 volts and includes a ground wire. Remove the four screws on the cage to access the bulb holder.
This light can also be used as a piling or post light as it is weatherproof.
You will be shipped the unusual Pauluhn ceiling light shown in the photos.

We have taken this vintage brass maritime ceiling light and added the 8 inch brass deflector cover to dress it up a little. We also covered the two original conduit holes on the sides with threaded brass plugs. Freshly polished and rewired, this light is ready to hang as soon as you unpack it from our shipping box.
When mounted to the ceiling, this vintage brass maritime ceiling light will extend down by about 9 1/2 inches. To access the bulb, you spin off the brass cage and the glass globe. The base of the light has three mounting legs. The deflector cover is mounted to the cage with three screws, so if for some reason you do not want the deflector cover, it is removable.
The Westinghouse UL listed wiring and bulb holder will work with any voltage under 250 volts. The bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less. We drilled a small hole in the base of the light for the wiring to feed through so it will not be visible when installed.
