Description
The Michigan Wheel Corporation in Grand Rapids, Michigan manufactured this vintage brass boat propeller. It measures 17″ in diameter with a 14″ pitch and features right-hand rotation and a 1-inch cup. The 3.25″ hub includes a 1-inch keyway slot, standard for many mid-sized inboard marine engines.
We have not tested this propeller for balancing. Therefore, we are selling it as-is for decorative use or potential refurbishment.
A working vessel once used this propeller, and it still carries the signs of that service. You’ll find the original markings stamped directly on the metal, including “17 RH 14.” It has three blades and a standard bore configuration.
While it shows surface wear from years at sea, it remains structurally solid. Use it in a restoration project, or mount it as a display in a garage, bar, or shop. Either way, this prop offers a strong visual connection to marine history.
