We have taken an original cast brass engine room/passageway light and added the 7 inch brass deflector cover to make this very unique look. When mounted to the ceiling this light will extend down about 8 1/2 inches. The two ceiling mount holes are 5 1/4 inches on center of each other. A hole has been drilled in the base of the light for the wires to feed through.
We have re-wired this light using new UL-Listed parts rated for any voltage under 250 volts. The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less. The light weighs almost 6 1/2 pounds.
Note: The brass cage is slightly misaligned relative to the glass globe (see photos).

This is a rather unusual Pauluhn ceiling light. Made of cast brass. This light measures about 8 1/2 inches tall x 6 inches wide. Beautiful teal blue ribbed globe. The top ring of the fixture is marked “Pauluhn Electric Mfg. Co. Pearland, TX”. The single conduit hole in front was fitted with a copper cap. Weighs a hefty 8 1/2 pounds!!
The new bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 75 watts or less. We drilled a small hole in the base of the light for the wiring to exit and not be seen after installation. The new wiring will work with any voltage under 250 volts and includes a ground wire. Remove the four screws on the cage to access the bulb holder.
This light can also be used as a piling or post light as it is weatherproof.

We started out with a reclaimed original nautical ceiling light. Once the original light was polished, we fitted it with an 8 inch wide polished brass deflector cover. On the back of the light, there is a conduit box with two holes on either side where the light attached to the ships electrical system. The original conduit holes were then fitted with threaded brass plugs. This ceiling light will extend down from the ceiling about 8 3/4 inches. Total weight is just over 7 pounds. This light fixture will require a mounting surface that is at least 6 3/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches.
The brass ships engine room light was then totally rewired with UL-Listed wiring with a ground wire and bulb holder that is rated for any voltage under 250 volts. The new bulb holder takes a common house bulb of 65 watts or less. To access the bulb, the brass cage and glass globe spin off freely to reveal the bulb area.
Great looking ceiling light! This light is solid brass and will never rust!
You will be shipped the light is the photographs.
