This reclaimed original nautical ceiling light was fitted with an 8 inch polished brass deflector cover.  The original conduit holes were fitted with threaded brass plugs.  This ceiling light will extend down from the ceiling about 8 3/4 inches. Total weight is just over 7  pounds.

This brass ships engine room light was then totally rewired with UL-Listed wiring with a ground wire and bulb holder that is rated for any voltage under 250 volts. The new bulb holder takes a common house bulb of 65 watts or less. To access the bulb, the brass cage and glass globe spin off freely to reveal the bulb area.
