Aluminum Porthole with Two Dog Latches – Ship Salvaged
$375.00

Description
This aluminum porthole comes from a salvaged ship and is built for wall or door installation. It offers a lighter option than brass, so you can handle and install it more easily while still keeping a marine look.
The frame includes two working dog latches. These close the window securely and give the piece its expected nautical function. In addition, the aluminum shows real wear from use at sea, with surface marks and patina from service.
The glass is original and shows visible scratches and marks from use. These will not polish out. Instead, they reflect the condition of the piece as it was removed from the ship.
This model has a 1/2-inch inset back. It does not mount flush to a surface. Instead, you need to install it into a wall, door, or cabinet opening. Once installed, the profile sits relatively tight to the surface. However, the total depth extends about 4.75 inches when you include the dogs.
Because of its size and design, this aluminum porthole fits well in interior doors, built-in cabinetry, or custom wall cutouts. It gives you a direct way to reuse original ship hardware in a functional space.
