This vintage Tung Woo onion navigation lamp measures about 12 inches tall x about 9 inches wide. The clear glass globe is protected by a wire cage. The lamp is made of brass and weighs 3 pounds.
The lamp has an oil burner with wick that has a thumb screw to move it up and down. The wick appears to be oil soaked but not burned. The wire cage has some light bends here and there. There’s also some surface wear on the base and top.
To access the burner, simply pull back the lever on the base of the lamp and turn with the handle until it is free and pops out.
You will be shipped the vintage Tung Woo onion navigation lamp shown in the photos.
Big Ship Salvage scours the world for nautical antique lights, décor and other items related to the Nautical Life. Brass, copper, stainless steel and sometimes aluminum materials are used to make-up the vintage lights that we find. We soda-blast the old paint off, remove the old wiring and polish before they arrive in our warehouse. Then, we rewire with UL listed bulb sockets and wiring harnesses and get ready for purchase. They are now ready to warm your home, business or restaurant with that nautical feeling we all desire.
