Vintage Set Port And Starboard Oil Lanterns

You are looking at a beautiful Vintage Set Port And Starboard Oil Lanterns. These were both made in Great Britain. This set is red and blue.  The red lantern is the Port Light and the blue lantern is the starboard light.

These lanterns both have a plaque above the glass on the brass.  The red lantern says PORT LIGHT, (oil use) Date: 2251969, NO 0 90, MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN. The blue lantern says STARBOARD LIGHT  (oil use) DATE 23251969 NO.1 1 1, MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN.

To get to the oil burner you need to go to the side with the handle and slide upwards. (shown in photo) To open up the top you have to unscrew the screw until not connected then lift open. The both of them are on a piece of wood that had roping placed around it.

These lanterns shell is shaped like a V so they would fit great in a corner or you could hang them from their top handle.  They would look great in a man cave or a bar room!  Another great item to add to your nautical collection!
