This is a Vintage Nippon Sento Navigation Light Double Fresnel Lens, that was salvaged from a once working vessel.
Navigation lights are an iconic item in the nautical community. Red, green, and clear lights are required when away from the dock between sunset and sunrise and periods of restricted visibility. This particular navigation light is a White masthead light. They would be located at the bow of a boat with 225-degree visibility.
It was made in Japan by Nippon Sento Co. Ltd. Nippon Sento Co. Ltd. is a marine supplier that has been providing lighting equipment for ships and airports since 1936.
This double-stacked light is made of solid brass and copper. It measures 17.5 inches tall by 11 inches wide (including the metal sticking out of the sides). The base measures 9 inches by 9.5 inches including the mount leg, it has 1 mount hole. The clear Fresnel lenses are in good condition, with minor chips and scratches. Each Fresnel lens is 5.5 inches high. This double light weighs 11.4 pounds.

Wiring
This light has been re-wired with all new UL-Listed parts, including a medium base socket and ground wire, that are rated for any voltage under 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED bulb / LED Edison bulb, which allows you to choose the bulb’s brightness to match your lighting area.
