Description

This vintage copper ship lantern once lit the starboard side of a working vessel. Its copper body shows dents and a worn patina from years at sea. The word “Starboard” is clearly stamped into the top section, making its original purpose obvious.

The frame uses copper as its base material, with brass accents adding contrast. The Fresnel lens remains in great condition with no cracks or major damage. Inside, the original oil chamber still rests in place, though it doesn’t fit snugly due to age and wear.

You can display this lantern as-is, drop in a battery-powered light, or rewire it for everyday use. The hanging handle makes it easy to mount or suspend from a chain. Whether it’s sitting on a shelf or hanging in a covered outdoor area, this lantern brings real maritime character to any space.

Features:

  • Copper body with brass trim and visible wear
  • Clearly marked “Starboard” near the top
  • Original oil chamber (present but slightly loose)
  • Fresnel glass lens in strong, clean condition
  • Flexible display options: as-is, battery bulb, or wired

**This piece is unwired, keeping its original integrity as an oil-burning lantern. If you would prefer it wired for electric use, please contact us for customization
