Vintage Copper Nautical Light with Amber Marine Lens

Vintage Copper Nautical Light once served aboard working ships. At sea, lights like this helped vessels stay visible and signal their position to nearby traffic.

This lantern features a solid copper body with brass hardware and a thick amber Fresnel lens. The glass Fresnel pattern spreads light efficiently while protecting the bulb inside. Over time, the copper developed natural patina and surface wear from service. As a result, these marks highlight its history and add an authentic maritime character.

You will also see an original brass maker’s plate mounted to the body. However, age and wear have softened the lettering. The visible letters appear to read “BAKDER” with the number 54349 stamped below.

Today this vintage nautical light works well in coastal homes, lake houses, restaurants, offices, or maritime collections. In addition, it makes a great decorative accent for entryways, bars, or nautical-themed spaces.

Wiring:

This light has been rewired with new UL-listed parts. It includes a ceramic socket and a grounded three-prong plug. The wiring supports voltages up to 250 volts.

To access the socket, loosen the wing nuts and lift the top lid. This allows you to install or replace the bulb easily.
