Product Description:

The Vintage Carlisle And Finch Red Fresnel Lens Running Light! The Carlisle & Finch Co., founded in 1893 by Robert S. Finch and Morten Carlisle in Cincinnati, Ohio, later became a rare global producer of searchlights by 1917.

Navigation running lights signal vessel positions. The red light indicates the port side, green signifies the starboard side, and a visible white light is mounted on the stern. These lights are mandatory away from the dock between sunset and sunrise and during limited visibility.

This running light is made from brass, displaying an antique charm with rust in some areas. The red fresnel lens is in great condition. The lid bears the name CARLISLE & FINCH CO., and a small plaque near the bottom reads: CARLISLE & FINCH, Cincinnati Ohio, USA., NL1528XB, and number. As you can see from the photos that we have rewired this light and it comes out the side of the light base.

Looking for an authentic, historically charming nautical navigation light? This piece is perfect for you!

Wiring

This light has been re-wired with all new UL-Listed parts, including a medium base socket and ground wire, that are rated for any voltage under 250 volts. We recommend using a standard base LED bulb / LED Edison bulb, which allows you to choose the bulb’s brightness to match your lighting area.

The wiring exits the light via the side of the base.
