Vintage Brass Marine Light – Nippon Sento – 1997

Nippon Sento Co., Ltd. manufactured this vintage brass marine light in February 1997. It served as a white electrical navigation light on a working vessel. The solid brass housing has developed a natural patina over time, giving it an authentic, weathered look. While the clear Fresnel lens has some scratches and grime, it remains intact with no chips or cracks.

This light includes two sealed conduit ports — one brass and one aluminum — which previously held electrical wiring. To access the bulb, simply unscrew the three knobs on the top and lift the lid. You can install this piece in several ways: hang it from a chain, mount it flush to the ceiling, or secure it to a post using the base.

Unlike polished reproductions, this light tells a story through its imperfections. It’s ideal for someone who values authentic, rugged character over perfection.
