Red Nautical Navigation Light – Nippon Sento

This red nautical navigation light came off a working vessel and was made by Nippon Sento Co. in January 1998. It features a solid brass body with a naturally aged patina from years of use at sea. This is a real piece of ship hardware, built to last.

The lens is a flat red plastic cover. It shows heavy surface scratches — evidence of its long life on the water. We’ve already rewired the light for modern use. Since we sealed off the original side conduit, the new wiring now exits through the bottom. That makes it easier to install and more practical for different setups.

To open the lid, just loosen the top knob and lift. There’s no need for tools. You’ll also find the original manufacturer’s plaque still in place, clearly stamped with Nippon Sento and the date.

You can hang this light by the handle, mount it from the ceiling, or set it on a post. No matter how you use it, this light delivers authentic shipboard style with real history behind it.
