This is a Nippon SENTO Running Light that was salvaged from a ship that was being torn apart for scraps. They are used as a source of illumination on a vessel. Running lights give information on a craft’s position, heading, integration, and status.
There are scratches on the glass and there is a small hole on one side of the top of the light. You can see it in some of the photos.
This running light would be a perfect light to sit on a pole or just to hang from the ceiling or a beam in your nautical-themed room.
If you like the vintage look then this running light is the light for you!
Length: 8″ to top of the light
Length: 13″ with handle up
Weight: 6.2 lbs.
We have installed a new UL-Listed bulb fixture that is rated for up to 250 volts. This light takes a normal medium base bulb of 100 watts.
