Nippon Sento Brass And Copper Red Fresnel Lens Oil Lantern

This is a Nippon Sento Brass And Copper Red Fresnel Lens Oil Lantern . This lantern is in excellent condition. It was made by the Nippon Sento Co. LTD., in Yoshikawa, Japan. This company was founded in 1936.  The Company’s line of business includes residential lighting fixtures.

This oil lantern is made of Copper, Brass, and Glass. The glass on the outside is a clear glass globe and inside is a red fresnel lens.  It is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks. To get access to the oil reserve you unlatch the hinges on each side of the base and lift the outer housing.   There is a small brass cone shape nodule to unscrew  so you can fill the lantern.

This lantern would look great sitting or hanging anywhere.  Especially on a desk or plug into a wall for a light on your end table.

This item can be hard wired to you can just about use it anywhere! So, if you are looking to add to your nautical collection, this lantern would be a great addition!
