Nautical Brass Lantern with Fresnel Glass – 21” Salvaged Ship Light

This nautical brass lantern is an original ship light salvaged and left in as-found condition. The body is solid brass with a consistent patina across the entire surface, showing its age and time in use. It measures approximately 21 inches in length and has a substantial presence whether hung or set on a surface.

The lantern features a Fresnel-style glass lens. The glass is cracked vertically through the center and has chipping in that same area. The back access door is slightly bent and does not fully close flush at the bottom, but it still latches shut. The base is also missing two feet on one side, which causes it to sit uneven when placed on a flat surface.

This piece can be hung using the existing top loop or displayed as a table piece. It is currently unwired, but we can wire it upon request.

Practical Use and Display Ideas:

This nautical brass lantern works well as a decorative piece in both indoor and covered outdoor settings. It can be hung in an entryway, on a porch, or above a table. It also works as a shelf or floor display in a coastal or industrial space.
