Galvanized Steel Ship Lantern

This galvanized steel ship lantern originally lit the decks of a working vessel. It started as an oil-burning fixture, but we rewired it for electric use. Now, it works as a functional light with a strong nautical presence.

The body shows heavy rust, giving it a raw, industrial look. The Fresnel-style glass lens has a few small chips but stays solid. The lantern still has its hinged top and hanging loop.

Hang it from the top ring or rest it on a mantle or shelf. It fits in well with coastal, rustic, or industrial decor. The wiring accepts a standard bulb and is ready to plug in.

Wiring:

This light has been rewired with all new UL-listed parts, including a ceramic medium base socket and ground wire, rated for any voltage under 250 volts. We recommend using a standard medium base LED bulb or LED Edison bulb, which allows you to choose the bulb’s brightness to match your lighting area
