This is an authentic Cord Wired Perko bronze double lens navigation light, salvaged from a once working vessel. Navigation lights are an iconic item in the nautical community. Red, green, and clear lights are required when away from the dock between sunset and sunrise and periods of restricted visibility. This particular navigation light is a White masthead light. They would be located at the bow of a boat with 360-degree visibility.
Perko, formed in 1907, has been creating quality nautical products for over 100 years. This particular was produced in Miami, Florida.
This double-stacked light is made of solid bronze and plastic. It has a plastic watertight access cap for rebulbing and cleaning. It will provide 3-mile visibility. It measures 17.25 inches tall by 7 inches wide. The base measures 9 inches from mount leg to mount leg, with 4 mount holes. The clear Fresnel lenes are in good condition. They are made of plastic and only have slight imperfections. Each Fresnel lens is 6.75 inches high. This double light weighs 17 pounds.
We have custom-fit a brass plate between the two sections so that we could install two porcelain bulb sockets. In order to access the bottom lens, you will need to unscrew the fixture in the middle. This will allow you to place a globe for maximum light.
