Copper Nautical Masthead Lantern with Fresnel Lens
$500.00
ITEM #:
Description
This copper nautical masthead lantern came off a commercial vessel, where it marked the forward-facing position on the mast. Its weathered look and real signs of use give it a lot of character. Whether you’re setting up a bar, outfitting a dock or boat, or just want a display piece, this lantern works well in both practical and decorative spaces.
It features solid copper construction and a thick Fresnel glass lens. The glass remains in good condition without major chips or cracks. The copper shows patina and a few small dents, which add to its aged, authentic look. You’ll find “B.T.” and “Masthead” engraved into the top rim.
We haven’t rewired this light yet—customers can choose from three wiring options or buy it as-is. To access the bulb, slide the back panel upward. There’s a small indentation on the panel towards the bottom. The base has three mounting legs for stability—two at the back and one at the front.
Features:
- Solid copper housing with patina and light dents
- Thick Fresnel lens with no major chips or cracks
- “Masthead” and “B.T.” stamped into the top rim
- Back panel slides up for bulb access
Wiring:
This light will be rewired with all new UL-Listed parts, including a medium-base socket and ground wire, rated for up to 250 volts. Because of this upgrade, you can safely use a standard LED bulb or LED Edison bulb and adjust the brightness to your space.
