Copper and Brass Running Light -1974 Salvaged Marine Lantern with Clear Fresnel Lens

This copper and brass running light came off an unknown ship and dates to 1974, as shown on the brass identification plate mounted above the lens. The main housing is solid copper, while the lid and wingnuts are brass. Over time, the copper developed natural patina along with surface marks from marine use. As a result, the finish reflects real working history.

The clear Fresnel glass lens remains in good condition, with only minor scratches. Two vertical copper guard bars protect the front of the glass. In addition, a conduit extends from the front of the fixture, consistent with its original installation. On each side, two circular brass mounting bars remain attached, which allowed the light to be secured directly to a bulkhead or wall.

We are selling this light as-is. However, you can select a wiring option from the dropdown menu if you would like it prepared for modern use.

If wired, the light includes all new UL-listed components, including a medium base socket. A ground wire is also available upon request. The fixture is rated for use up to 250 volts. We recommend a standard base LED bulb or LED Edison bulb so you can control the brightness based on your space.
