The Vintage Curacao Ship Flag is the official symbol of Curacao and its former ties to the Netherlands Antilles from 1984 to 2010. Unlike the Dutch flag, it was uniquely designed for Curacao and its dependencies. The flag showcases a blue background with a central yellow stripe and two white stars. Blue signifies the sea and sky, yellow represents the island’s sunlit landscape, and the stars symbolize Curacao and Klein Curacao. Each star’s five points signify the diverse cultural heritage of the island’s residents from five continents.
