This Nautical Cabo Verde Flag was removed from a vessel being cut up for scrap. This flag is exactly like it was when it was found, it has not been washed.
The 10 stars on the flag represent the main islands of the nation. The blue represents the ocean and the sky. The band of white and red represents the road toward the construction of the nation, and its colors stand for white for peace and red for effort.
