This letter “P” Papa nautical signal flag was removed from a vessel being cut up for scrap. This flag is exactly like it was when it was found, it has not been washed.
P: Papa – The Blue Peter.
In harbour: All persons should report on board as the vessel is about to proceed to sea.

This flag measures 52 inches wide and 67 inches long.
On the flag-pole side of the flag, on one corner there is a small brass hook, and on the other corner there is a short section of rope with a brass hook on the end.
