Description

This salvaged India nautical flag measures approximately 52 inches long by 33 inches wide. It features the familiar horizontal tricolor design of saffron, white, and green, with the Ashoka Chakra at the center. This flag shows signs of use, with some minor staining around the white edge, but remains in good structural condition overall.

The India nautical flag follows the same design as the national flag of India. The saffron color at the top stands for courage and sacrifice. The white middle band represents peace and truth. The green stripe on the bottom symbolizes growth and prosperity. In the center of the flag is the Ashoka Chakra, a 24-spoke navy blue wheel that represents law, motion, and progress.

This flag was likely flown on a commercial vessel operating in international waters, where country flags are used to identify a ship’s nationality. It has a metal clip at the top corner for hanging or display.

Features:

  • Dimensions: 52″ L x 33″ W
  • Original India nautical/courtesy flag
  • Includes metal clip for mounting or hanging
  • Light discoloration along the outer white edge from maritime use

This is a functional piece with visible history — great for display or collecting.
