G Nautical Signal Flag – “I Require a Pilot”

This G Nautical Signal Flag came from real ship use. It’s a longer piece, built to be seen from a distance. With bold yellow and navy horizontal stripes, it follows the standard international signal code. In this system, the letter G flag means “I require a pilot,” a message still recognized in active harbors today.

While the flag remains in good condition, it does show signs of wear. You’ll notice some markings and dirt that reflect its time at sea. We do not clean any of our salvaged flags. Instead, we leave them in original condition to preserve their character. This one features durable fabric and has a grommet on each end for hanging or mounting.
