The Curacao flag – 57″ x 37″ is the official symbol of the island country of Curacao and its former association with the Netherlands Antilles from 1984 until its dissolution in 2010. Unlike the Dutch flag, this flag was specifically created for Curacao and its dependencies. The Curacao flag features a blue background with a yellow horizontal stripe near the center, and two white stars. The blue color symbolizes the sea and sky, while the yellow stripe represents the sun shining on the island. The two stars represent Curacao and Klein Curacao, with each star’s five points symbolizing the diverse cultural origins of the island’s inhabitants from five continents.
The photos show one side of the flag and a close-up of the fabric.
