The great measures 26 inches wide by 43 inches long by 1 1/2 inches thick. It weights 23 pounds. It has been left in as in condition, The patina from years of use has not been removed. It has a tiny brass plaque with “September 12, 1976”. It would be a beautiful piece to be restored or left with the patina.
These grates have been repurposed for many things. Most common are coffee and side tables, either inlaying it in the center or with the addition of some legs. These also make perfect wall hangings for pool side or bathroom areas.
