You are looking at an original Vintage Manually Operated Fog Horn In Wood Box.  Foghorns or fog signals are used to warn other vessels of navigational hazards such as rocky coastlines and other dangers, or to alert the presence of other vessels. These were typically used when fog has obstructed lighthouses and other marine visual aides.

Check out the video on our Instagram Page to hear it!

It was made by the Tokyo Siren Co., Tokyo, Japan. It has a manufacturing date of Jan. 1980 and is a SH-180 type fog horn.

The fog horn is in a sturdy wood box that has wood handles on both ends of the box so it can be transported easier. The horn does roll out to make it longer as shown in photos.

This Vintage Manually Operated Foghorn In Wood Box would make a great addition to someone’s nautical collection! As you can see from the video it is in working condition!
