Vintage Brass Aneroid Barometer on Seafoam Painted Base (1984)

This vintage brass aneroid barometer measures atmospheric pressure and was commonly used on ships to monitor weather conditions. Mariners relied on instruments like this to track pressure changes, since falling pressure often signals storms while rising pressure points to clear weather.

This piece features a solid brass housing that has developed a natural patina over time. The glass face remains clean and clear, making the dial easy to read. The face is marked “Aneroid Barometer” and shows the maker, Utsuki Keiki Co. Ltd., Yokohama, Japan. It also includes serial number 8543 and a 1984 date stamp, which helps place it within a later period of marine instrumentation.

In addition, the barometer sits on a round aluminum base painted in a seafoam color. The base shows surface wear, which reflects age and use but does not take away from the overall look.
