This is a Vintage Blue Anemometer And Anemoscope that was salvaged off of a once working vessel that was made from the Koshin-Denki-Kogyo Co.
This item is called a windmill anemometer because a windmill is driven by the air stream, and its rotation is transmitted through gearing to dials or another recording mechanism.
An anemometer is a device to measure wind speed and direction. An anemoscope shows the direction of the wind or foretells the change of the direction or weather of the wind.
On the front, you will find where the wind direction and speed are read with an on and off switch.
This Vintage Blue Windmill Anemometer and Anemoscope would be a great item to add to your nautical collection!
