This Authentic Simpson Lawrence Cowl Vent was on boats as a way to get smoke out of the engine room and off the ship. The curved edge helps prevent wind from blowing the smoke back down through the vent.

This vintage nautical cowling vent is made by Simpson Lawrence, in Glasgow. Is is made out of brass and copper.
