Salvaged Copper Ship Light Planter – Nautical Decor

This salvaged copper ship light housing offers plenty of possibilities for someone with a creative eye. Its deep bowl shape makes it especially well suited as a planter for fall mums. Orange, yellow, red, or burgundy mums would look especially striking against the aged copper and natural patina.

Originally, this housing formed part of a marine spotlight. The previous components have been removed, including the glass lens and wiring. Years of use left the copper with dents, marks, and natural patina. Therefore, we think this piece works especially well for repurposing and creative projects.

For example, fill it with fall mums and display it on a porch, patio, garden wall, or near an entryway. After fall, you could change the display with herbs, greenery, or seasonal flowers. Alternatively, someone could rewire the housing as a light fixture. However, the open front would leave the bulb exposed.

The 5.5-inch base includes four mounting holes for securing the housing to a flat surface. Mounting hardware does not come with the piece.
