This pair of Lewmar 44 3 speed nickel over brass black winches were made in England. The tops of these winches are 5 1/2″ in diameter, the drums are about 11″ in circumference, the bases are 22 1/2″ in diameter, and they are about 7 1/2″ tall from the mounting surface. Each winch weighs about 24 pounds. They are painted black except for the tops.
Lewmar has transformed from a small company established by Ben Lewery and Leslie Marsh in 1950. Yet the spirit of innovation and engineering excellence has remained constant. Today, Lewmar is the premier marine equipment supplier – designing, manufacturing, and distributing innovative, high-quality control solutions worldwide.
Note: One winch is fully functional and the second has a broken internal spring that could easily be fixed.

Big Ship Salvage scours the world for nautical antique lights, décor and other items related to the Nautical Life. Brass, copper, stainless steel and sometimes aluminum materials are used to make-up the vintage lights that we find. We soda-blast the old paint off, remove the old wiring and polish before they arrive in our warehouse. Then, we rewire with UL listed bulb sockets and wiring harnesses and get ready for purchase. They are now ready to warm your home, business or restaurant with that nautical feeling we all desire.
